🌍 Master Turkish from Scratch to Fluency
The Certificate in Turkish Language at SITPS offers a complete pathway from beginner to advanced proficiency, preparing learners for real-life, academic, and professional communication in Turkish. Designed to meet the growing demand for Turkish fluency in areas such as business, diplomacy, cultural exchange, and education, this certificate enables students to engage confidently with native speakers across a variety of contexts.

Learners are supported through on-demand learning, qualified online tutors, and a progressive structure that builds skills step-by-step in listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and cultural understanding. The program is ideal for complete beginners but also adaptable for learners with prior exposure to Turkish.

📘 Program Structure – CEFR Levels A1 to C2
The program is divided into six levels, grouped into three categories:

🟢 Basic User (A1–A2)

🟡 Independent User (B1–B2)

🔵 Proficient User (C1–C2)

Each level integrates four core skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing, with vocabulary and grammar appropriate to each level.

🟢 Level A1 – Beginner Communication (CEFR A1)
Focus: Survival Turkish & Everyday Basics

Learning Objectives:

Turkish alphabet and correct pronunciation

Basic greetings, introductions, and common phrases

Talking about yourself (name, age, nationality, occupation)

Numbers, dates, time, and weather

Family, colors, clothing, and food vocabulary

Forming basic present tense sentences using to be and common verbs

Reading signs, short forms, and filling in basic forms

Listening to simple dialogues and giving basic responses

Writing short sentences and polite expressions (e.g., “Thank you”, “I don’t understand”)

🟢 Level A2 – Everyday Turkish Usage (CEFR A2)
Focus: Building Everyday Communication Skills

Learning Objectives:

Talking about daily routines, home life, and free time

Describing places, objects, and people using adjectives

Shopping, giving prices, and asking for help

Using present, past, and near-future tenses in simple structures

Giving directions and navigating the city (e.g., transport, asking for locations)

Understanding basic grammar (plural nouns, cases, possessives, postpositions)

Reading simple articles, brochures, and short dialogues

Writing emails, invitations, messages, and personal letters

Listening to slow native Turkish in real-life situations

🟡 Level B1 – Practical Fluency (CEFR B1)
Focus: Communicating Confidently in Real-Life Scenarios

Learning Objectives:

Holding structured conversations about work, school, and travel

Talking about past events and future plans in detail

Making suggestions, requests, and complaints

Understanding grammar elements like relative clauses, verb conjugation, and aspect

Reading simple news articles, reviews, and travel blogs

Writing short essays, story summaries, and formal letters

Listening to Turkish speakers at normal pace in guided scenarios

Role-playing interviews, hotel bookings, restaurant orders, and doctor’s visits

🟡 Level B2 – Independent Communication (CEFR B2)
Focus: Advanced Everyday & Academic Use

Learning Objectives:

Engaging in conversations on abstract and cultural topics

Expressing opinions and defending arguments with clarity

Reading newspaper articles, official documents, and technical instructions

Using Turkish idioms, phrasal expressions, and connectors

Writing reports, formal emails, and argumentative essays

Understanding Turkish radio, podcasts, and interviews

Participating in debates, giving presentations, and storytelling

Grammar: passive voice, conditionals, gerunds, complex sentence structures

🔵 Level C1 – Advanced Fluency & Professional Use (CEFR C1)
Focus: Mastering Turkish for Academic and Workplace Communication

Learning Objectives:

Using Turkish flexibly in professional, academic, and public contexts

Participating in high-level discussions, interviews, and debates

Reading academic journals, literature, and complex argumentative texts

Writing structured academic essays, business reports, and critical reviews

Understanding humor, sarcasm, idioms, and cultural references

Listening to fast-paced spoken Turkish (TV shows, lectures, interviews)

Producing language with advanced grammar (subjunctive mood, nuanced tenses)

Adapting tone and register based on formality

🔵 Level C2 – Mastery (CEFR C2)
Focus: Native-Like Command of Turkish

Learning Objectives:

Understanding virtually everything heard or read in Turkish

Summarizing information from complex sources (academic, literary, news)

Producing spontaneous, precise, and well-structured speech

Writing scholarly papers, research reports, and literary critiques

Reading and interpreting classical Turkish literature and modern texts

Delivering speeches, engaging in high-level negotiation and persuasion

📝 Assessment & Certification
Evaluation Includes:

Interactive quizzes and homework after each unit

Listening and reading comprehension assessments

Speaking tasks and oral interviews

Final Oral + Written Examination per level

🎓 Certification:
A Certificate in Turkish Language is awarded after successful completion of Level C2.

Students may request interim certificates at A2, B1, or B2 levels, depending on exit point.
